About Us

Company president Gordon W. Cormack has been in the building trades since 1967, starting out as a "nail banger". He began his own business as a proprietorship in 1972, became incorporated in 1978, and formed Cormack Construction Management, Inc. in 2005. Since then, Cormack's focus has been on all aspects of construction management as well as development of the organization to improve customer relations, communications and overall efficiency.

"Cormack shows great skill, sensitivity and imagination in coming up with and implementing solutions to complicated design issues. The crew not only have beautiful craftsmanship but are uniformly pleasant and fun to work with."

Custom Design and Building For More Than 35 Years

In 1999, the 90-year-old barn which had served as both a warehouse and office space, received a 1,600 square foot addition. The added workspace allowed the designers, project managers and office staff to expand and improve on the level of service we provide. Up-to-date computer and communication systems have improved efficiency throughout the organization. The barn space became the home of The Wood Works, our custom millwork shop. Now Cormack is able to create the often one-of-a-kind built-in cabinetry and custom details that can be seen in many of our building and remodeling projects.

The members of our professional staff have many years of experience. Each of the project managers, estimators, and designers has field experience so they've developed in-depth understanding of the building process from the ground up. Cormack is also committed to continuing education; all our employees are encouraged to update their skills through seminars and classes.

At Cormack, traditions of craftsmanship and a commitment to excellence combine to create what we're proud to call "The Art of Building."
