Aging in Place

Aging in PlaceCormack Construction Management, Inc. has earned the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to compete in the fastest growing segment of the residential new home and remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place. The NAHB Remodelors™ Council, in collaboration with the AARP, NAHB Research Center, and NAHB Seniors Housing Council, developed this program to provide comprehensive, practical, market-specific information about working with older and maturing adults to remodel their homes for aging-in-place.

The term “aging-in-place” means remaining in one's home safely, independently, and comfortably throughout one's maturing years. It allows the pleasure of living in a familiar environment and the ability to enjoy the familiar daily rituals and special events that enrich all our lives. It means the reassurance of being able to call a house a "home" for a lifetime.

At Cormack, we have the remodeling experience and innovative ideas that reflect each client’s near and long term needs. We are also mindful that these changes must reflect the character and style of the home they know and love. By employing green ideas and practices, we are also able to incorporate savings of both time and money in the “new” home’s maintenance and upkeep.

Clear communications are vital to this process and we are proud of the aging-in-place remodeling projects we have completed over the years. Each one has been a personally rewarding adventure and insight into ALL our futures!
