This inviting indoor pool is part of a privately owned therapeutic health complex, woodworking shop and storage barn for a client with special needs. As an addition to a log home we had previously renovated in 1996, it was designed and project-managed by Kim Frechette of Cormack Construction Management. The pool was designed for a man who needs ongoing physical therapy in the pool but who also has a young family. The owner's dream of having his special needs met in a non-institutional way has been realized.
Great care was taken in designing and constructing a special air handling system that works with an automatic pool cover to keep the windows clear of moisture. The pool area features radiant in-floor heat, granite tile with a non-slip natural surface, gorgeous southern yellow pine beams, and large windows that fill the room with light and provide a view of the owner's private grounds.
The client has been very pleased with his experiences working with our team. In addition to the remodel of the log home in 1996 and the indoor pool and addition pictured here, we have remodeled a second home for this owner, designed by Dave Norton.
