Our client’s beloved family fishing cabin in Moultonborough, New Hampshire was over 100 years old and in desperate need of repair. Although structurally unstable, the property still had much of its original charm.

We started the project by peeling back the layers of time—literally stripping the cabin down to the stud framing and floor supports. The floorboards were rotted, and many of the doors and windows were non-functioning.

After adding insulation and weatherstripping, our team carefully and thoughtfully rebuilt the cabin, ensuring every detail remained true to the construction era. For an authentic, “always been there” look and feel, we installed customized cabinets, woodworking, and trim handcrafted by The WoodWorks, Cormack’s woodworking division.

The cabin had great bones—it just needed some TLC! To the delight of our client, we were able to retain the unique charm of this family treasure, restoring the look of yesteryear, with modern conveniences.
